EPCM Consultants

WHO WE ARE

At EPCM Consultants, we recognize the vital role of a Construction Consultant and our responsibility in advising, directing, controlling, and coordinating all aspects of a project. With a commitment to precision and efficiency, we ensure seamless execution and successful project outcomes.

Our expertise encompasses Estimating, Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Schedule Reviews, Contract Administration, and Assurance & Advisory services, ensuring comprehensive project support.

We recognize that effective cost control is critical to the success of any project. Our approach involves the formulation, implementation, and maintenance of a structured cost control system to ensure efficient management of project costs. This includes establishing and maintaining clear control budget estimates, updating them as designs and project briefs evolve, and managing and coordinating cost control across all design, engineering, and construction disciplines. As cost consultants, we serve as an extension of the management team, overseeing all aspects of cost control from inception to completion. This enables project managers, architects, and engineers to focus on design and execution while we maintain financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY INTERNAL SERVICE DELIVERY MODEL:

Estimating, Cost Engineering/Quantity Surveying

Pre-Contract:

We offer a comprehensive range of financial and commercial services, including in-house estimating software for benchmarking, conceptual project viability investigations, and preparation of cost estimates and developer feasibilities. Our expertise extends to insurance replacement valuations, cash flow forecasts, and cost-efficient design advice. We conduct pre- and mid-tender interviews, tender assessments, and negotiations, and help develop tailored procurement procedures. Our services also include preparing tender documents, contracts, analyzing and settling contractual claims, and advising on warranties and performance bonds as needed.

Post Contract:

We provide comprehensive financial control throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion. Our services include on-site management coordination, verification of contractor interim payments, and evaluating the financial impact of changes or variations, offering early advice to the client. We handle negotiations and agreements on changes or variations with contractors and produce regular financial reports to show anticipated final contract costs. We also assist with the agreement of the final account.

Assurance & Advisory services

We offer dispute resolution services focused on project control issues, including schedule discrepancies, contractual versus actual quantities, site instruction and variation order reviews, and the impact of delays and damages. Our team ensures contractor and client adherence to in-house policies and procedures, while providing advisory and assurance on quantitative and time-related risks associated with both pre- and post-contract strategies.

Contract Administration/Management

We provide expert contract administration and management services to oversee and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle. Our team effectively manages changes, variations, and disputes while ensuring both client and contractor fulfill their respective duties. By maintaining a strong focus on contract compliance, we mitigate risks, optimize project execution, and guarantee that all contractual requirements are met from start to finish.

Mine Closure Estimates

Our mine closure estimates at EPCM are integral to effective project planning and environmental responsibility. We provide detailed cost estimates that cover all aspects of mine site decommissioning, from infrastructure removal and land rehabilitation to safety and environmental compliance. These estimates ensure that the closure process is executed efficiently, sustainably, and in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, minimizing the environmental impact and securing the long-term viability of the site.

Scheduling compilation/reviews

At EPCM, we prioritize the development and ongoing evaluation of detailed project schedules to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery. Our scheduling experts compile comprehensive timelines that include all necessary milestones, tasks, and resource allocations, while regularly reviewing and updating these schedules to promptly identify and mitigate potential delays. This proactive approach ensures that projects stay on track and align with client expectations.
